Our Te kitenga, Our Vision: To work together to create an authentic and harmonious relationship with each other, our land and our culture.
Our People
Through uninterrupted time and space, children will have opportunities to play-to explore, wonder, imagine, think, create and be. Their interests will be supported and their curiosities evoked through nature, the use of quality resources and mindful teaching (awhi and aroha).
Tamariki, whānau and kaiako are valued and celebrated for their individuality and the special strengths and knowledge they bring to this place. We honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi and our people are empowered to learn and grow within our cultural community (whānaungatanga, manaakitanga and ako).
By maintaining a small group size, families and teachers can work together effectively to meet the individual needs of each tamaiti so they may grow to their full potential. The essence of the child is at the heart of everything we do and our assessment, planning and evaluation will reflect this and capture the voices of whānau and tamariki. (whakamana).
Our Place
Our children will be inspired in a country environment where the atmosphere is peaceful and harmonious and nature is used as a medium to impart key curriculum knowledge and develop life long skills and positive dispositions for learning.
