Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education)

Kia ora koutou,

My name is Jan and I am excited to be a part of The Redwoods Country Kindergarten’s Teaching team and community. I was born and raised in Taranaki and have strong ties to the community and whenua. 

Throughout my teaching practice I strive for respectful communication and interactions with Tamariki and their whānau. I work hard to respect children’s mana through active listening, kindness and empathy. I want children to know that I can be trusted to meet their needs. 

I love the outdoors and advocate for children to experience the gifts and joy of being out on the land in the way that I was fortunate to experience when I was younger.
